Adam has over 10 years of working in health and wellness, predominantly in various aspects of nursing. In that time he has held space and cared for many people in their most vulnerable and raw moments.
He began his Nursing career in Mental Health in 2010 in Calgary; He became a life long learner in demystifying the intersections of bio-psycho-social phenomena that are the root of mental suffering
Adam believes in the power of personal narrative and how life experience is the thread that weaves our lives together in relationship with humanity, environment and spirit.
His clinical practice is based on a trauma informed approach of caring , collaboration and dignity. He creates safe spaces for inquiry, creativity and growth through the use of various psychodynamic techniques tailored to the individual or group.
He is versed in CBT, CPT, MI, hypnosis, depth therapy, attachment and family system models, gestalt therapy, psychodrama & somatic therapy modalities.
Jennifer has been a clinical counsellor in the Northwest region for over 15 years, specializing in severe and persistent mental health and addiction issues. Early in her career, she recognized the central role of trauma in her clients’ challenges, leading her to pursue advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). This evidence-based approach has shaped her practice, allowing her to address the complex interplay between trauma and the mind-body connection.
With extensive experience in EMDR, Jennifer integrates a holistic perspective that acknowledges the nervous system’s role in emotional regulation. She has successfully provided trauma-focused care to individuals with PTSD and complex trauma, tailoring interventions to address both psychological and physiological responses.
Jennifer holds a MA Ed in Counselling and is pursuing a PhD in Psychotherapy. She continues to serve the North, offering both in-person and virtual appointments.
